2007 Zinfandel, Viñas Antiguas, Monte Rosso Vineyard Pre-Release Wine Spectator: 90 Points click for the review The gnarly old vines at Monte Rosso Vineyard produced a wine with depth of fruit and subtle nuances befitting its venerable origins. This remarkable fruit enabled us to make a truly distinctive Zinfandel. The wine was aged for 17 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. This beautifully balanced wine offers a lush nose with abundant ripe boysenberry and black raspberry aromas and traces of fresh sage and anise. Sleek and supple on the palate, it displays rich, concentrated flavors of black cherry and blackberry with hints of mocha and spice on a lengthy finish. $40.00 Quantity:

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley This concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon displays a harmonious medley of intense fruit aromas, including ripe blackberry, black cherry, boysenberry, plum and currant with hints of mocha and spice. Wonderful weight in the mouth and firm structure give way to supple, velvety textures and layers of dark berry flavors that are rich and vibrant, long-lasting and impeccably balanced. $80.00 Quantity:

2006 Zinfandel, Viñas Antiguas, Monte Rosso Vineyard Top Chef's Top Zin The 2006 Vignas Antiguas Zinfandel from the Monte Rosso vineyard, Richard and Charlie were initially stunned by the difference in intensity between the 2006 and 2005 vintages. The gnarly old vines at Monte Rosso Vineyard naturally produce very limited yields, usually resulting in extremely concentrated wines. The cooler spring of 2006 however, resulted in a completely different but delightful style Zinfandel. Says Richard, "We believe that wines should be a true reflection of their terroir and the vintage, and no two vintages are ever alike. You have to have confidence in vines that are over 100 years old and continue to produce incredible wines year after year. We’ve seen that with the 2006 Zinfandel, the flavors are still developing in depth and complexity. This is evolving into an excellent, refined example of what Zinfandel can be at its best." $40.00 Quantity:

2006 Amapola Creek Syrah Dark and dense, this Syrah shows abundant mouthwatering aromas of black plum, black cherry, smoked deli meats and peppercorns. On the palate, the wine is deeply flavored with succulent red and black cherry fruit, meaty and spicy nuances and polished tannins throughout a persistent finish. $40.00 Quantity:

2007 Amapola Creek Syrah Pre-Release This wine was punched down entirely by hand and put into 40% new Ermitage barrels with the balance in seasoned French oak. Ink black with a dark purple edge, this intense Syrah offers effusive aromas of wonderfully ripe plums, smoked meats and deli spices with hints of anisette. On the mouth, it is succulent and seamless, with complex layers of black plum, boysenberry and meaty flavors, smooth tannins and a trace of cloves on the impeccably balanced, enduring finish. $45.00 Quantity:
